Players to watch:

San Diego State: For the second straight season, San Diego State senior guard Jené Morris earned a place as one of 52 regional finalists for the NCAA Division I State Farm Coaches’ All-America Basketball team. Morris is fourth in SDSU career history with 1,427 points, is the league’s all-time career steals leader (286) and is the first Aztec to lead the MWC in scoring in conference contests. Aztec seniors Morris and Quenese Davis (Sacramento, Calif.) combined to score 43 of the team’s 70 points, including 16 of the final 22, and also chipped in 12 assists and five steals together. Junior Paris Johnson (San Diego, Calif.) had 10 points and a team-best seven rebounds and three blocks and class-mate Coco Davis (Sacramento, Calif.) tallied three steals.

Texas: When Earnesia Williams reached 1,000 career points at the 3:16 mark of the second half of the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship First Round game against Missouri, she joined two teammates in Texas’ 1K Club – Brittainey Raven and Kathleen Nash. It is the first time since the 1991-92 season that the Horns have had a roster with three players with 1,000 career points, and it is the sixth time in school history that a team has had at least three players with 1K points.
