After second suspension, Longwood fires coach Kristin Caruso

Austin said that veteran ninth-year men’s basketball assistant coach Bill Reinson will serve as Interim Head Coach for the remainder of this season, effective immediately. “It is in the best interest of the Longwood Women’s Basketball program that a change in leadership is made at this time,” said Austin. “I have a great deal of confidence in Bill Reinson to direct the team during this transition.”

Reinson has been an assistant with the men’s program at Longwood since September, 2002. Longwood (1-6) is plays Saturday, Dec. 11, hosting Wright State University at 2 p.m. ET.
