Minnesota Vikings giving away 500 Lynx playoff tickets to fans

Minnesota Vikings and All-Pro defensive tackle Kevin Williams and his team purchased 500 tickets for Thursday night’s Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Minnesota Lynx and the Phoenix Mercury.

“We are again so grateful for all the hometown support we’ve received throughout this historic season,” said Lynx chief operating officer Conrad Smith. “As we move on to face the Phoenix Mercury in the Western Conference Finals, we hope everyone who hasn’t been out to a playoff game comes out on Thursday as it will be an incredible atmosphere. We thank the Vikings and Kevin, who has been to many games this season, for stepping up and helping us pack Target Center.”

Fans can obtain the upper level tickets  tickets by calling the Lynx ticket office at 612-673-8400. Each fan can claim two tickets. Lower-level tickets will be available to purchase at 10:00 am this morning; they can be bought for as low as $15.

Tip off for the game is set for 8:00 p.m. CDT on ESPN2.
