Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love teamed up with the Lynx as they open up the playoffs Friday, September 28 against the Seattle Storm. In support of the Lynx, Love purchased 500 upper level tickets for Friday night’s Game 1 at the Target Center. He is offering them to fans to free. Beginning Tuesday at 8 a.m., the first 250 fans that call in to 612-673-8400 will have the opportunity to sit in Love’s seats; limit two per customer.

“I’m incredibly proud to support the Lynx as they defend their 2011 WNBA Championship,” said Love. “Playoff basketball is one of the most exciting parts of professional sports, and this is a great opportunity for new fans that haven’t experienced the excitement of Lynx basketball in person to come down to the game on Friday night. I’ll be there on Friday, and I hope fans take advantage of this opportunity and help create an electric playoff atmosphere at Target Center.”

The Lynx finished this season a WNBA-best 27-7 for the second consecutive year, earning the first overall seed in the WNBA and homecourt advantage throughout the 2012 WNBA Playoffs. Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals will be on Sunday, September 30 at 8 p.m. CT at KeyArena in Seattle on ESPN. If necessary, Game 3 will be back at Target Center on Tuesday, October 2 at a time to be determined.
