Game 2 of the WNBA Finals most viewed WNBA postseason game on ESPN since 1999

Game 2 of the WNBA Finals between the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx on Wednesday, Oct. 17 was the most viewed and highest rated WNBA Playoff game on ESPN since 1999 reported the league Thursday.

Overall, the game had 778,000 viewers and a .6 household rating, according to Nielsen. It peaked with 1,011,000 viewers between 9:15 and- 9:30 p.m. ET and a .8 rating between 9:30 – 9:45 p.m. ET. The ratings are second to the 1999 WNBA Western Conference Finals (Houston Comets vs. Los Angeles Sparks) that had 1,052,000 viewers and a 1.1 household rating.

The WNBA Finals continue with game 3 on Friday, October 19, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
