2014-15 John R. Wooden Award Women’s Preseason Top 30

John R. Wooden Award Women’s Preseason Top 30

The ACC leads all leagues with six selections on the John R. Wooden Women’s preseason top 30 list. The Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC followed with five each. The American Athletic Conference had four selections, the Big 12 three and two more conferences had one pick, the MAC and Big East. Nearly half of the players chosen, 14 out of 30, are seniors.

Players not chosen to the preseason list are eligible for both the midseason list and the national ballot. The national ballot consists of 20 top players who have proven to their universities that they are making progress toward graduation and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA. The Wooden Award All-American team, consisting of the nation’s top five players, will be announced the week of the Final Four.

The 39th annual Wooden Award ceremony will honor the Wooden Award winners and take place the weekend of April 10-12, 2015.
