Seattle Storm signs Kristen Mann to a training camp contract

From the Storm:

The Seattle Storm today announced that Kristen Mann has signed a training camp contract with the franchise.

“We are excited to have Kristen be part of our process,” said Storm head coach Jenny Boucek. “Kristen is a mature, high character and high IQ veteran. We anticipate that she will escalate our learning curve and enhance our culture.”

Over a five-year career with multiple WNBA teams, Mann owns career averages of 5.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game.

The University of California, Santa Barbara graduate was originally drafted 11th overall in the 2005 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx. Following three seasons in Minneapolis, Mann was acquired by the Atlanta Dream in the 2008 WNBA Expansion Draft. She was then traded midway through the 2008 season to Indiana in exchange for Alison Bales. She signed in 2009 with the Washington Mystics, and competed for the Lynx on the back-half of the 2010 season.
