San Antonio Stars sign guard Blake Dietrick to a seven-day contract

The San Antonio Stars signed 5-10 guard Blake Dietrick to a seven-day contract. She will be available Wednesday, July 6 when the Stars host Washington.

Dietrick appeared in two games this season with the Seattle Storm before being waived on June 25. She spent the 2015-16 offseason playing for Cestistica Orvieto in Italy, where she averaged 15.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. A 2015 graduate of Princeton, Dietrick was named the 2014-15 Ivy League Player of the Year. Dietrick signed a 2015 training camp contract with the Washington Mystics following the 2015 WNBA Draft, but was waived on June 1, 2015. She followed with a short stint at the Los Angeles Sparks’ training camp.

Dietrick fills the open roster spot after the Stars waived guard Frida Eldebrink on June 26.
