Maryland 2016-17 non-conference schedule features Arizona State, Louisville and UConn

The Big Ten champion Maryland women’s basketball team released its non-conference slate for the 2016-17 season. The schedule includes contests against Connecticut, Louisville and Arizona State.

The Terrapins officially open the 2016-17 season on Sunday, Nov. 13 with a matchup against UMass-Lowell. On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the Terps will welcome UMES to the Xfinity Center. Maryland will head to Las Vegas to play in the South Point Shootout over Thanksgiving weekend. The Terrapins will take on 2016 NCAA Tournament participant Arizona State and Washington State.

After a short break over the Christmas holiday, the Terrapins will close the non-conference slate by hosting the Connecticut Huskies at the Xfinity Center on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Game times, the full Big Ten schedule and television info will be available at a later date.

The Terrapins earned an overall record of 31-4 last season and won both the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles for the second straight year.
