Washington Mystics sign free agent forward Tianna Hawkins

Washington Mystics signed free agent forward Tianna Hawkins. The team first acquired the free agent forward prior to the 2014 season.

“We are glad to welcome Tianna back to the Mystics,” said head coach Mike Thibault. “She had some unfortunate luck with her injuries last year when she was playing well. She was a terrific teammate and we are happy to give her the opportunity to earn a spot on our roster.”

A standout at Maryland, she was drafted in the first round (6th overall) by the Seattle Storm in the 2013 WNBA draft. She has career averages of 4.0 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game. The Mystics open the season on Sunday, May 14 against the San Antonio Stars.
