Dallas Wings finalize roster to begin 2017 season

The Dallas Wings has a final roster for the 2017 regular season. The Wings begin play Saturday, May 14, in Phoenix against the Mercury. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the game via League Pass and Twitter.

The franchise’s 2017 roster includings six returning players: All-Star guard Skylar Diggins-Smith, 2016 WNBA All-Rookie Team member Aerial Powers, along with Glory Johnson, Karima Christmas-Kelly, Courtney Paris and Theresa Plaisance. This group is joined by training camp invitee Kayla Thornton, 2017 draft class top pick Evelyn Akhator (3rd overall), Allisha Gray (4th) and Kaela Davis (10th), Breanna Lewis (23rd) and Saniya Chong (26th).

“It’s been a very competitive training camp,” said head coach Fred Williams in a statement. “We are very excited about our 12-player selected roster. I’m looking forward to an exciting season.”
