Earlier this week, media who cover the Pac-12 voted for the league’s postseason awards. Oregon dominated the accolades this year with Ducks head coach Kelly Graves garnering Coach of the Year. Oregon sophomore guard Sabrina Ionescu took the Player of the Year honor while her teammate, forward Satou Sabally, won Freshman of the Year.

Ionescu leads the conference in scoring with 19.2 points per game and assists at 7.8 per contest. She also leads the nation in triple-doubles with five this year breaking the NCAA’s career record for that statistic.

Satou Sabally follows in Ionescu’s footsteps in winning Freshman of the Year after her teammate won last season. Sabally averages 10.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. She appeared in all 31 of Oregon’s regular season games and started 22 times. She leads the Pac-12 freshman in scoring (10.9 points per game) and field goal percent (.467).

Graves led Oregon to its first regular-season title since 2000 and its first No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. The Ducks went to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2005 last season and reached the program’s first-ever Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight.
