Purdue pulls out of tourney in Mexico after junior Drey Mingo hospitalized with meningitis

Purdue  pulled out of the Caribbean Challenge tournament in Playa del Carmen, Mexico after a player was hospitalized with meningitis.

Drey Mingo, a redshirt junior from Atlanta, remains hospitalized in stable but critical condition this morning. She was admitted Tuesday afternoon.

No other players on the team have been ill according to university officials.  Team members and coaches received antibiotics as a precaution

The team was scheduled to fly to Mexico Wednesday morning to participate in the tournament but a decision was made to cancel the trip. The Boilermakers had already arrived in Indianapolis on Tuesday night in preparation for the flight. They were set to play Montana on Thursday and Florida Golf Coast on Friday.
