While it has been a season of unimaginable tragedy for the Oklahoma State women’s basketball team, the Cowgirls have managed to compile a 9-2 record, even as they continue to deal with the tragic loss of former head coach Kurt Budke and assistant Miranda Serna.  They even upset Texas last Saturday when the Longhorns were ranked at No. 23 in the AP poll.

Tonight they are in Waco to take on No. 1-ranked Baylor (15-0 overall, 2-0 Big 12). The Lady Bears lead the series between the two teams 25-10 and have won the last three against OSU.

Quick look at Oklahoma State

The Cowgirl’s are the nation’s top field goal defensive team. They have held all 11 of their opponents under 40 percent shooting from the floor. The win over Texas was the first victory over a ranked team for OSU since March 12, 2010. The game against Baylor marks the third consecutive meeting with a top 25 team for the Cowgirls.
