Duke beats St. John’s 74-47 to reach the Elite Eight for the third straight year.

Duke cruised to a 74-47 victory to reach the Elite Eight for the third straight year ending the season for St. John’s. The Blue Devils used a balanced scoring effort to throttle the Red Storm in the Fresno Region of the NCAA tournament.

Shay Selby led Duke with 18 points and five rebounds. Chelsea Gray contributed 13 points and pulled down four rebounds. Gray also collected eight steals.

For the Red Storm, Da’Shena Stevens had 19 points and five assists. Nadirah McKenith grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with her eight assists and five points.

On Tuesday Duke will meet the winner of tonight’s South Carolina – Stanford game for a chance to earn a berth in the Final Four.
