NCAA women’s basketball national semifinal ratings up

Sunday night’s Connecticut, Notre Dame NCAA women’s basketball National Semifinal game delivered a 1.8 overnight rating, up six percent from last year’s first semifinal tilt between eventual national champion Texas A&M and Baylor (1.7).

On a market-by-market basis, Hartford was the highest-rated market for both semifinal games, delivering a 17.8 metered market rating for the UConn-N.D. matchup and a 7.5 for the Stanford-Baylor game. Other notable markets for the first semifinal game (UConn-ND) were Knoxville (5.1) and Nashville (4.0).

The second National Semifinal game between Stanford and Baylor registered a 2.2 overnight rating, which is equal to last year’s UConn-Notre Dame semifinal.  Notable local market ratings are Knoxville (6.5), Nashville (5.0) and San Antonio (4.5).
