The French national team took down Australia, 64-58, in an Olympic warm-up game in Lille, France Sunday. France earned the victory just a week after they lost to the Opals, 69-59, in the Standard Life Invitational Challenge in Sheffield, England.

The Opals barely survived Brazil yesterday in a 78-75 victory and could not overcome the French. Isabelle Yacoubou led her team with 13 points. Clemence Beikes added 10 points plus five rebounds.

For Australia, Kristi Harrower led with 11 points. Liz Cambage scored 10 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.

Lauren Jackson, Suzy Batkovic and Samantha Richards did not play for Australia in the game. Richards is injured. Jackson and Batkovic were in London for medical examinations according to the French basketball federation.

Earlier today, Brazil beat China 71-62 in Lille.
