East relaxed and having fun at All-Star game

One thing is for certain, the Eastern conference All-Star team is relaxed and having fun at the 2013 WNBA All-Star game.

Ivory Latta may be having more fun than anyone, especially after winning Coach Lin Dunn’s $100 for making a half court shot at practice.

“That $100, that helps a lot, that’s gas money right there,” she joked. “I am having fun,” she continued. “First time here, everybody’s just having a good time, so why not have a good time too?”

Cappie Pondexter and Epiphanny Prince are playing together for the first time, despite both going to Rutgers and playing for C.Vivian Stringer.

“We should call her right now,” Pondexter said, grabbing her cell phone, before changing her mind.

“Nah, I’m not gonna call her, she talks too much. I love her, but she’ll be on the phone for two hours. I’ll be like ‘coach, I gotta go warm up’ and it’ll be ‘but what I was saying was….’ ‘Didn’t you hear me say we’ve got a game in five minutes?”

Prince chimed in with “I’ve been watching you, you’re not jumping to the ball,'” and the duo erupted into laughter.

Sylvia Fowles was having a jersey signed for her mother, while Tamika Catchings was having shoes signed.

Fowles said she has dunked already in the All-Star game, so she will leave it to Glory Johnson and the young legs on the West team.

Things will get more serious soon!
