Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi undergoes successful surgery on her left hand

Guard Diana Taurasi underwent successful surgery on her left hand, the team announced today. The surgery to repair a broken hand suffered while playing in a game for UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia) was performed in Los Angeles.

Taurasi is expected to make a complete recovery from the injury and is projected to rejoin UMMC for the end of the Russian season. Standard recovery is between four and six weeks.
