WNBA All-Star Balloting 2015 is now open

Fans can now begin voting for 2015 WNBA All-Stars. The All-Star game takes place July 25 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The game will be broadcast at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

The ballot will feature all current WNBA players for the first time. Previously, the ballot only included 30 players (18 frontcourt players and 12 guards) from each conference.

The WNBA will announce the All-Star starters during an ESPN telecast of “SportsCenter” on Tuesday, July 14.  Reserves will be announced on Tuesday, July 21, during ESPN2’s telecast of the Phoenix Mercury and Los Angeles Sparks game (tip-off at 11 p.m. ET).

  • Using the hashtag #WNBA Ballot on Facebook and Twitter on the WNBA Facebook Page or @wnba on Twitter. Votes must include a player’s first and last name, along with #WNBABallot

Voting Instructions

WNBA.com (Desktop, Mobile):

  • Voting window is from June 17, 2015 (2:00:00 PM ET) – July 9, 2015 (09:00PM ET).
  • To vote on WNBA.com, user must visit the WNBA player index or player pages. All votes will be accepted under the following rules and regulations:
  • On WNBA.com player index and player pages, the user picks players by clicking or tapping the “Vote” button.
  • To deselect a pick, user can click or tap the “Added” button.
  • Once selections are complete, user must provide first name, last name and email, complete the reCaptcha, and click “SUBMIT VOTES” to submit his/her votes.
  • Users can submit a minimum of (1) player or up to ten (10) players, per device, per 24 hours.
  • Voting is allowed for all WNBA players on roster.

WNBA App:

  • Voting window is from June 17, 2015 (2:00:00 PM ET) – July 9, 2015 (09:00PM ET).
  • To vote from a mobile app, user must visit the WNBA player index page via All-Star Ballot promotions on the WNBA App for iOS or Android. All app votes will be accepted under the following rules and regulations:
  • On player index page , the user picks players by clicking or tapping the “Vote” button.
  • To deselect a pick, user can click or tap the “Added” button.
  • Once selections are complete, user must provide first name, last name and email, complete the reCaptcha, and click “SUBMIT VOTES” to submit votes.
  • Users can submit a minimum of (1) player, or up to ten (10) players, per device per 24 hours.

Twitter:

  • To vote, voters must publish a Tweet that includes the hashtag #wnbaballot and the first and last name, or Twitter handle, of the player that they want to see play in the Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star game.
  • Voters can submit a maximum of 1 player name per Tweet
  • Voters can submit a maximum of 10 valid votes per Twitter handle per day
  • Each Tweet must be for a different WNBA player
  • Tweets must include the WNBA All-Star Ballot hashtag – #wnbaballot – to be counted as valid votes
  • Retweets will count as valid votes
  • Valid votes must include a player’s first and last name eg. Sue Bird or SueBird ; or Twitter handle, eg. @S10Bird
  • Sample Valid Tweet:
    I want to see Sue Bird play in the All-Star game and watch her dunk! #wnbaballot

Facebook:

  • Voting window is from June 17, 2015 (2:00:00 PM ET) – July 9, 2015 (09:00PM ET).
  • To vote, voters must post a status update from their own Facebook account that includes the hashtag #wnbaballot and the first and last name of the player , or tag the player, that they want to see play in the WNBA All-Star game.
  • Voters can submit a maximum of 1 player name per Facebook Status post
  • Voters can submit a maximum of 10 valid votes per Facebook ID per day
  • Each Facebook Status post must be for a different WNBA player
  • Facebook Status posts must include the WNBA All-Star Ballot hashtag – #wnbaballot – to be counted as valid votes
  • The qualifying vote must originate as a status post from the user’s Facebook account.
  • Valid votes must include a player’s first and last name eg. Sue Bird or SueBird, or a player’s tagged Facebook name.
  • Sample Valid Facebook Status post:
    #wnbaballot I want to see Sue Bird play in the All-Star game!
