Cappie Pondexter suffers a concussion in Sky win over Atlanta

Chicago Sky guard Cappie Pondexter suffered a concussion in the team’s 98-96 win over the Atlanta Dream on Saturday night. She is currently being evaluated based on the WNBA’s concussion protocol. The nine-year pro is averaging 15.0 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game and 2.1 assists per game.

With the win over the Dream, the Sky (18-12) clinched its third consecutive playoffs berth. They will be in action again on Thursday to face the New York Liberty (20-8), the top team in the league at the moment. The contest tips off at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on NBA TV, MSG and The U Too.
