Atlanta Dream ousts general manager Angela Taylor

In January 2014, the Atlanta Dream hired Angela Taylor as executive vice president and general manager. However, after a dismal 2015 season with the Dream failing to make the playoffs, the franchise relieved her of her duties.

The team’s official statement:

“Ownership decided to go in another direction with the leadership of the franchise. A search is currently underway to find a replacement.”

Taylor is also a former executive with the Washington Mystics, Minnesota Lynx and the league. She came to the Dream after the franchise fired Fred Williams as coach and general manager in October 2013 a week after he led the team to the finals vs. Minnesota.
