USA Today Coaches Poll for Jan. 19, 2016: Louisville rises five spots to No. 17, Duke drops out

Notes

  • No. 1 Connecticut and No. 2 South Carolina remain the only undefeated teams in the country. The two will face each other on Monday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN 2. There were no changes in the top three with UConn, South Carolina and Notre Dame holding those spots as they have all season.
  • No. 4 Baylor rose two spots after defeating No. 6 Texas. The Longhorns fell two spots.
  • Louisville had the biggest rise, ascending five spots to No. 17.
  • Tennessee had the biggest drop, falling seven places to No. 22. The Lady Vols suffered a defeat at the hands of Notre Dame yesterday.
  • No. 10 Mississippi fell four spots. The Lady Bulldogs lost to unranked Missouri last week.
  • Continuing a trend of the Associated Press poll, Duke dropped out. Duquesne also fell out of the top 25.
  • No. 24 Syracuse re-entered the poll.
  • No. 16 Miami (FL), No. 20 Northwestern and No. 21 DePaul rose four spots each.
