We are excited to announce our newest podcast, The Post Up, during the week of the 2016 WNBA Draft. The Post Up will bring you interviews with movers and shakers at all levels of women’s basketball. For the rest of this spring and throughout the summer, the podcast will focus on happenings in the WNBA and the league’s 20th anniversary. Cheryl Coward, the founder of Hoopfeed, will serve as the primary host of the The Post Up.

The first-ever guest on the podcast is sports writer Howard Megdal. During the past several months, he has compiled a weekly mock draft in anticipation of Thursday’s event at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. where this season’s elite crop of college seniors will learn their initial destinations as professional athletes. The podcast centers on why Megdal decided to begin publishing a mock draft and the kinds of discussions it started among fans and coaches. In addition, he gives some insight on what players increased their draft stock in the past few months and how injuries affected a few top athletes.

The WNBA draft takes place Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. ESPN2 will provide coverage and analysis of the first round beginning at 7 p.m. ET. ESPNU will air coverage of the second and third rounds starting at 8 p.m. ET.
