Chicago Sky acquire Keisha Hampton in exchange for 2nd round draft pick Chantel Osahor

The day after the 2017 WNBA Draft, the Chicago Sky acquired forward Keisha Hampton from the Minnesota Lynx in exchange for forward/center Chantel Osahor (University of Washington). Osahor was the Sky’s 2017 second round draft pick.

“Keisha Hampton, is a consistent shooter from all areas of the floor. She has the ability to stretch the defense and open up the floor for our inside players,” said Sky general manager and head coach Amber Stocks in a release. “She is versatile and she fits a need we have for our current roster.”

Hampton, a 6-2 forward, was selected by the Seattle Storm as the 22nd overall pick in the 2012 WNBA Draft. She was signed to the Lynx in 2016 as an unrestricted free agent where she played in 27 games.

Osahor led the nation in rebounds per game (15.8) and double-doubles (30) her senior year, pulling down double-digit rebounds in 31 games. She became Washington’s all-time leading rebounder with 1,253 in her career.
