After another week of exciting games and upsets, Louisville is back in the top spot in the Sport Tours International/Hoopfeed poll. While last week’s No. 1 Baylor, did not suffer any losses over the week, voters in the poll gave the Cardinals the No. 1 nod.

Louisville had a banner week, defeating this week’s No. 4 UConn on Thursday and followed up by routing Clemson on Saturday.

While Baylor won all its games, the Lady Bears had to fight off this week’s No. 15, Texas, in the last quarter Monday night. The Longhorns outscored Baylor 28-13 in the final period to get within five of their foe.

UConn’s loss to Louisville led to a drop in two places for the Huskies who also struggled to put away Cincinnati 65-55 on Saturday.

Maryland re-entered the top ten after beating Wisconsin and Illinois last week. The Terps are on a five-game winning streak.

North Carolina, a team that received votes in the poll, took down previously undefeated NC State 64-51 on Sunday. The Wolfpack was the only unbeaten team, women or men, heading into the matchup. The unranked Tar Heels beat Notre Dame a week earlier.

Stanford dropped out of the top ten after splitting its season series with California. The unranked Golden Bears beat the Cardinal with a narrow 81-80 victory Thursday night. However, Stanford recovered to dominate Cal on Saturday, 75-50.

Utah’s hot streak cooled off as the Utes incurred two straight road losses against the Pac-12’s Oregon schools. As a result, Utah fell three places to No. 17.

Rutgers also experienced some bad luck last week, getting topped by unranked Minnesota on the road, 60-46.
