Baylor ends its regular season as the unanimous No. 1 team in this week’s Sport Tours International/Hoopfeed poll. The Bears sit atop the poll for the fourth consecutive week as the rankings saw no movement among top seven teams.

The remaining three teams in the top team each advanced a place beginning with No. 8 Maryland followed by NC State and Iowa.

Oregon State dropped three spots and out of the top ten to No. 11 after falling to Arizona State on the road in Tempe on Friday. For the Sun Devils, the 66-54 victory pushed them up a spot to No. 20 in the poll. The two Pac-12 teams are on opposites sides of the conference tournament bracket with ASU playing Colorado on Thursday and the Beavers beginning play on Friday against the winner of a first-round matchup between Washington and Utah.

For Kentucky, the week was a mixed bag with the Wildcats falling two places in the poll to No. 12. The Wildcats lost at home Texas A&M on Thursday but recovered by edging Georgia in a road game on Sunday.

Marquette’s week was also and up and down affair. The Golden Eagles fell three places to land at No. 18 after a week that included a road loss to Creighton.

Texas had a dismal week suffering a rout at the hands of Baylor followed by a defeat at Iowa State. As a result, the Longhorns went from No. 19 to No. 21.

No team dropped out of the poll.

  • Other teams that received votes: South Dakota, South Dakota State, Rutgers, BYU and Central Florida.
