Angel McCoughtry

From the league:

Atlanta Dream guard/forward Angel McCoughtry has been suspended one game without pay for receiving her seventh technical foul of the 2016 season, it was announced today by Renee Brown, Chief of Basketball Operations and Player Relations.

Under WNBA rules, a player or coach is automatically suspended without pay for one game upon receiving a seventh technical foul during the regular season. For every two additional technical fouls received during that regular season, the player or coach will be automatically suspended for an additional game.

McCoughtry incurred her sixth and seventh technical fouls with 3:13 remaining in the second quarter during Sunday’s game at the Phoenix Mercury.  She will serve the suspension tomorrow, Sept. 13, when the Dream hosts the San Antonio Stars.
