Just a few days after becoming the NCAA women’s basketball all-time career scoring leader, Washington senior guard Kelsey Plum was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year. She joins Giuliana Mendiola (2003) as the second Washington player all-time to earn the honor. Plum broke the scoring record with a 57-point outing Saturday. The performance also set a new Pac-12 single-game scoring mark.

Plum is the 12th player in NCAA history to score 3,000 points, and the only player in Pac-12 men’s and women’s basketball history to reach the mark. This season she averaged 31.6 points per game, shooting 53 percent from the field and 44 percent from three-point land.

Oregon freshman guard Sabrina Ionescu picked up the Freshman of the Year honor. In her first season the Northern California native earn four triple-doubles, just one short of the Pac-12 record and two shy of the NCAA record. She averaged 13.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.65 assists per game. She earned the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week four times this season.

Oregon State senior guard Gabriella Hanson takes the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year honor. She has started all games this season and help her team have one of the best defenses in the country.

Oregon State’s Scott Rueck earned the league’s John R. Wooden Coach of the Year honor. He led the Beavers to their third-straight Pac-12 regular-season title and a third-straight No. 1 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament. His team has been ranked all season and enters the Pac-12 tournament as the top seed.

The league also announced the All-Pac 12 teams.
