Slow side Tuesday

In tonight’s marquee matchup, #2 UConn rallied from behind to beat # 19 West Virginia, 57-51.

Here’s that Kentucky-Tennessee story we all expected. Because the game was a classic.

In the meantime, Tennessee at Vanderbilt this Sunday is sold out.

On the tough times side:

Oklahoma Coach Sherri Coale said her Sooners are in the midst of the most difficult three weeks of games that she’s had in her 15 years there.

Shining last season, Nebraska is struggling this year.

And earlier today, the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks announced the signings of center Courtney Paris and forward Chanel Mokango. They seem to be trying to get bigs, but color me not excited.

Paris was cut in the pre-season last year, and does she still have extra pounds that impede her speed? On the flip side, Mokango is so light I could bench press her easily. She played so little last year that she isn’t even on the stat sheet.
