Point guard Loree Moore, signed by the Los Angeles Sparks in February, is leaving the team for medical reasons.

"Loree will unfortunately not be able to continue her WNBA career with the Sparks due to health issues," said General Manager Penny Toler in a statement. "We wish her all the best in the future."

Moore posted a message on her Facebook page telling her fans about her plans. She played for the New York Liberty for five seasons before joining the Seattle Storm during their training camp before the 2010 season. She did not play for the Storm because of a knee injury and had surgery on a torn meniscus. She participated in practices and media day for the Sparks since the beginning of training camp on May 15.

Moore averaged 6.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 155 regular season league games with the Liberty.

The Sparks’ 2011 training camp roster currently stands at 13 players entering today’s preseason game against the Seattle Storm.
