Video: Erika de Souza proud of Brazil’s FIBA Americas Championship

After missing games two and three of the Eastern Conference Finals and game one of the WNBA Finals against the Minnesota Lynx, Erika de Souza is back. The starting center for the Dream missed the games due to competing in the 2011 FIBA Americas tournament in Colombia for Brazil’s national team. Her team won the championship and she arrived in Minnesota happy albeit tired and ready for game two on Wednesday.

“I’m really proud of it,” said de Souza via a translator. “It was not that easy to get the place over there to win the championship and I hope what I did there I can do here and we’re going to get the title here.”

Minnesota won the first game in the best-of-five series Sunday night 88-74.
