During halftime of No. 6 Tennessee’s highly-anticipated matchup against, No. 1 Baylor,  Tyler Summitt, the son of the Lady Vols head coach, addressed the crowd to announce the formation of the Pat Summitt Foundation.

Since revealing a diagnosis of early onset dementia, Alzheimer’s type, in August, the legendary coach has received a mountain of support from all over the world with some former players leading the way in bringing awareness to the need for Alzheimer’s research.

The foundation has  a website where visitors can donate and learn about the foundation’s plans. According to the site, the goal of the organization is to fund grants to non-profits that raise awareness of Alzheimer’s, provide support services and conduct research.

During pregame warm-ups, both teams wore t-shirts that with the phrase "We Back Pat" printed on them.
