Connecticut Sun center/forward Kelsey Bone suspended one game without pay for flagrant foul

Connecticut Sun center/forward Kelsey Bone has been suspended one game without pay for throwing an elbow to the head of Indiana Fever’s center Natalie Achonwa, it was announced today by Todd DeMoss, Associate Vice President, WNBA Basketball Operations.

The incident, which resulted in a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejection for Bone, occurred with 1:05 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Fever’s 92-84 win over the Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena on June 30.

Bone will serve her suspension tomorrow when Chicago Sky plays the Sun in Connecticut at 7:00 p.m. ET.
