Phoenix Mercury to visit the White House on Aug. 26

On Wednesday, August 26, President Obama will welcome the WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury to the White House to honor the team and their victory in the 2014 WNBA Finals. This visit will also continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to communities.
