With starting center Marianna Tolo out for the rest of the season, the playoff-bound Los Angeles Sparks signed center Michelle Snow.  The 12-year WNBA veteran spent the 2014-15 season playing in Turkey where she averaged 14.9 points and 11.2 rebounds in 10 EuroCup games. “Michelle is a seasoned veteran who has played for years in the WNBA and continued to play in Europe,” said Sparks head coach Brian Agler. “She will give us another experienced player in the post.”

Snow was a first round selection by the Houston Comets in 2009 where she spent seven seasons before joining the Atlanta Dream. She has also played for San Antonio (2010), Chicago (2011-2012) and Washington (2012-2013).  She holds career averages of 8.4 points,  6.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.0 blocks and 23.7 minutes through 400 career games (306 starts).

The Sparks (14-18) clinched a playoff spot Sunday after defeating the Tulsa Shock. The appearance will be the Sparks 15th postseason appearance in franchise history – most by a team in WNBA history.
