From Oregon:

Oregon senior forward Jillian Alleyne suffered a torn ACL in practice on Tuesday and will miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season, head coach Kelly Graves announced Friday. The All-American’s incredible Oregon career comes to a close.

“It is tough to see such a good person have to deal with such a difficult injury,” Graves said. “Jillian has had one of the most remarkable careers in Pac-12 history and I’m sad to see it cut short. With her strong faith and work ethic, however, I know she will recover and go on to a long and successful professional career.”

Across all sports, Alleyne is one of the greatest to ever wear an Oregon uniform.

The Fontana, Calif., native ends her storied career second in NCAA history with 92 career double-doubles and third with 1,712 rebounds. Alleyne owns both the Oregon and the Pac-12 single-game, single-season and career rebounding records plus both the program’s and the league’s single-season and career double-double marks.

In 120 career games, Alleyne scored 2,151 points, second on the all-time UO list and 10th in Pac-12 history.

This season Alleyne became just the 10th player in NCAA women’s basketball history to tally 2,000+ points and 1,500+ rebounds, joining Chiney Ogwumike and Cheryl Miller from the Pac-12 on the exclusive list.

Alleyne worked her way from Pac-12 freshman of the year (media vote) to honorable mention All-America honors as a sophomore to third-team All-America recognition as a junior.

Oregon’s upcoming games at California and Stanford to close out the 2015-16 season will be the first Alleyne has ever missed. She appeared in all 31 games as a freshman in 2012-13 – making 26 starts – before starting every game since as a sophomore, junior and senior.
