San Antonio Stars: Dearica Hamby will miss remainder of season due to pregnancy

From the Stars:

The San Antonio Stars today announced that forward Dearica Hamby will miss the remainder of the 2016 season. Hamby is pregnant and expecting her first child. She averaged 9.0 points and 5.1 rebounds in 25 starts with the Stars this season.

“Dearica is a wonderful woman and she has our full support during this exciting time,” said head coach Dan Hughes. “We are thrilled for Dearica and Alonzo as they focus on preparing for the addition to their family.”

Hamby is the second player to announce a pregnancy recently. On Aug. 27 the Washington Mystics announced that guard Bria Hartley is pregnant and will miss the rest of the season.
