On the 2017 Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 list, one player not on the Preseason Top 30 was named to the Midseason Top 25: Napheesa Collier of Connecticut. Four schools have multiple selections that were chosen: Baylor (Nina Davis and Alexis Jones), Connecticut (Napheesa Collier, Kia Nurse, and Katie Lou Samuelson), Notre Dame (Lindsay Allen and Brianna Turner) and South Carolina (Alaina Coates and A’ja Wilson). Of the 25 student-athletes on the list, 14 are seniors and 21 are upperclassmen with no freshman making the list.
