WNBA preseason schedule tips off on April 29

WNBA preseason action kicks off Saturday, April 29 at 2 p.m. ET with the Dallas Wings visiting the San Antonio Stars. On display will be this season’s No. 1 draft pick, Stars guard Kelsey Plum, the all-time leading scorer in NCAA women’s basketball.

In the offseason, the Stars acquired Isabelle Harrison and the No. 5 pick in the 2017 draft from Phoenix in exchange for Danielle Robinson. Former Northwestern Star, forward Nia Coffey, ended up being the fifth pick.

The Stars also added center Clarissa Dos Santos from Chicago in exchange for another center, Astou Ndour. In addition, the franchise signed free agents Erica de Souza, Roneeka Hodges and Adut Bulgak

Newcomers on the Wings include two players from South Carolina, the recently crowned NCAA national champions, guards Allisha Gray and Kaela Davis. Gray went fourth in the draft while the Wings selected Davis as the tenth overall pick.
