The biggest upset of the week led to a major reshuffling in this week’s poll.  After ten straight wins, previous No. 1 Stanford dropped a contest to unranked Texas 69-64 Sunday afternoon in Austin. Sophomore Charli Collier and senior Joyner Holmes led the way for the Longhorns as they took down the team that held the No. 1 spot for three weeks.

With the loss, Stanford fell six spots to No. 7 while Texas re-entered the rankings at No. 24. Both teams have one more non-conference game left before league play begins.

With the shakeup at the top of the poll, Oregon State earned its highest ranking so far this season landing at No. 2 while UConn took over the top spot. Oregon, South Carolina, and Baylor round out the top five.

No. 8 UCLA advanced two spots after defeating Indiana 68-58 in a road game on Sunday in Bloomington. The Hoosiers fell two spots to No. 14.

Arizona continued to rise in the rankings, landing at No. 13 this week, a gain of three positions. The Wildcats are 11-0 and routed Tennessee State and UC Santa Barbara last week.

There are no games this week until Saturday due to the holiday season.
