From the Aces:

Las Vegas Aces General Manager Dan Padover announced today that the team will be without the services of Lindsay Allen this evening when it takes on the Phoenix Mercury, as the third-year guard returned an “inconclusive positive result” from a COVID-19 test Thursday evening.

Under the safety procedures outlined by the WNBA and WNBPA, an inconclusive positive result makes no conclusive determination as to whether the person does or does not have COVID-19, but is treated as a positive test. Allen is currently isolating off campus.

The test in question was administered Wednesday, July 29. Allen was tested again Thursday, and the result of that test, received Friday afternoon, was negative.

Per league protocol, Allen must receive two consecutive negative test results more than 24 hours apart, and be cleared by a physician, before she is able to return to the team.
