Video: USC introduces Lindsay Gottlieb as new head coach

USC welcomed its new women’s basketball coach Tuesday afternoon in a Zoom press conference. Lindsay Gottlieb returns to the Pac-12 after serving as an assistant coach in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers. She was the first-ever NCAA women’s head coach to be hired by a team in the league.

This is Gottlieb’s second stint as a head coach in the Pac-12. Before arriving in Cleveland in 2019, she led the California Golden Bears for eight seasons taking the team to seven NCAA tournaments and the program’s first appearance in the Final Four in 2013. The season she was named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year.

USC athletic director Mike Bohn introduced Gottlieb, and she made some introductory remarks before participating in a Q&A with the media. View the entire presser below.
