Aneesah Morrow of DePaul University is the 2022 WBCA NCAA Division I Freshman of the Year.

“Aneesah most certainly contributed to DePaul’s success and we recognize and applaud her immediate impact this season,” WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew said.

Morrow scored the most points of any freshman debut in program history with a 31-point outing back in November. She also broke the Big East single-game record for rebounds when she grabbed 27 to go along with 22 points on Jan. 30. About a month later, she had a career-high 41 points plus 18 rebounds in a contest against Creighton.

Overall, the Big East Rookie of the Year leads the country in double-doubles, rebounds, rebounds per game, and offensive rebounds per game.
