UConn adds two walk-ons to 2013-14 roster

Connecticut announced two additions to the roster for the 2013-14 season.  Freshman guard Tierney Lawlor and sophomore guard Briana Pulido are both walk-on candidates who have now officially made the team.  Lawlor will wear No. 20 while Pulido will wear No. 11.

High School: Attended Gulliver Preparatory … received All-Dade Honorable Mention and most Points/Best Offensive Player of the Year in 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons … Led the team in steals, points, and assists in junior campaign … District champion in her senior year… Was named Female Athlete of the Year in the 2011-2012 season… Achieved such academic notoriety as National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society, Science Honor Society, English National Honor Society, and First Honors… Lettered in track and field, cross-country, and volleyball… Also a member of the UConn Track and Field Team. Personal: Born June 4, 1994 … Daughter of Terry and Gus Pulido… A psychology major.
